 April 1, 1961

Summary

 Polytechnic University was established by the Japanese government and is under the management of the Employment and Human Resources Development Organization of Japan. The university undertakes the following tasks under Article 27 of the Human Resources Development Promotion Law:
  1. Education and training of vocational instructors
  2. Research and training to improve the quality of vocational instructors
  3. Advanced vocational training that provides standards for vocational training nationwide
  4. Surveys and research on the development and improvement of vocational capabilities and provision of various information
  5. International cooperation in the area of vocational training
  6. Vocational training for the unemployed and job changing workers
  7. Counseling and assistance on development and improvement of vocational capabilities
